Jailin's 1st Birthday!!

We celebrated Jailin's first birthday on Sunday. She didn't know what to make of it all. She refused to even try her cake, but she did enjoy poking at the whipped cream and mushing it between her fingers! Thank you to our friends for getting me through my first "kid" party. Thank goodness for the wine and wassail! It was a wonderful party and it meant a lot to John and I that you all came to celebrate our little one. Thank you!

My first cake.

Yuck!

My first birthday present. I can't wait to see what it is!

I don't know what the gift is, but it sure is fun to climb on top of the box! Thank you, what a great present!

Birthday Celebration!

Thank you Auntie Megan and Uncle Andy for my sushi kit. Ba Ba wants me to practice eating sushi so he can take me out as soon as I'm old enough.

More of Jailin's birthday celebration!

I love playing with my shape sorter with Auntie Jillian! She's a good sport, I throw them out, she picks them up. Sucker!!

Kristeen and baby Mia. How cute is Mia?!

How nice is Mason for helping me out by stealing, I mean opening a gift!

More Jailin!

Thank you Grandpa Rene for taking some great pictures of Jailin! It was so nice to get a few with John and I in them. Can you tell how happy she was when her Grandpa and Grandma were around?

Grandma, Grandpa, Oh My!

Grandma Joanie and Grandpa Rene came to visit. They met Jailin for the first time. She just loved them! We're so sorry to see them go!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I cannot express how thankful I feel this year. We have been blessed this year with our little one and it makes you realize how you took for granted everything you had before. She has reminded us how fortunate we are to have such wonderful family and friends and how important it is to have those connections, everything else doesn't really matter.

Thank you Meg, Andy, Mason, and Bernice for sharing our Thanksgiving with us. We loved having you! Thank you Mom for doing all the work, I had my hands full this year! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, too!

Do I need to eat it all?

What is this?

Mason brought Jailin a Thanksgiving balloon, how sweet!

Thanks, Mason. I love it!

Oh no! Of course the favorite toy has to disappear and taunt the kids all day long!!

More Thanksgiving fun!

I'm going to ignore the string that once had my favorite toy that is now floating above just mocking me!!

Ha ha ha! I'm too fast for you, Ba Ba!

I like hanging out with Bernice.

Our first glimpse

Our first glimpse
We received her picture on 8/3/07. Our agency called us the day before with basic information about her, but we were so excited to finally see her face!
